RAMA GAMING HOUSE MISSISSAUGA
!

We are excited to announce we have been welcomed into the Rama Gaming House of Mississauga Family; a charity gaming center that works with local charities to raise funds, make community connections, and provide great entertainment!
How can you get involved!?
SIMPLE!
Invite your friends and family (18+) and set yourselves up with a bingo package (see schedule link for details) and an order of wings (highly recommended), and have a great time!
THAT'S IT!
A share of the proceeds from every purchase is given to MHS to help with our vet bills!
We recommend coming early to reserve seats and order your food and beverages before the games begin!
If its your first time playing bingo and you'd prefer to just dip a toe in, we recommend you start with a $32 package and some snacks so you can take in the atmosphere, enjoy your evening, make some friends, and get the hang of things, and you'll be ready to win big next time!
Bingo not your game? There are plenty of other games and fun to be had, and a percentage of all proceeds still makes it back to us as donations to help towards our ever growing vet bills!

Who are the toronto accolades?

Rama Toronto East Bingo

Founded in 1968, Toronto Accolades is an all-female a cappella choral group singing four-part harmony in the barbershop style. We are members of Harmony, Inc., an international organization promoting friendship and personal growth through music and music education. Our repertoire includes a variety of music, both old and new, fast and slow. We put on shows, compete at Harmony, Inc. annual contests, and perform within the community. OLG CHARITABLE BINGO

The Toronto Accolades love to perform, and miss singing at retirement residences and community events around the GTA. Keeping members engaged and practising their repertoire is no small feat, when we can't get together to perform. With the generous support of the Rama Toronto East Bingo and Gaming Centre, we've been able to hire coaches to attend many of our weekly ZOOM rehearsals, each one focusing on a different skill with a fresh perspective. We've also been able to purchase new costumes, as well as new music and learning tracks, so we can emerge from the COVID-19 restrictions with an expanded repertoire of performance-ready songs.

We are excited to be preparing to do a virtual performance. That will be the perfect time to wear the new costume top and pants we were able to purchase with some of the funds we received from Rama. Of course, we can't wait to get back to performing in person, and being able to return to Rama Toronto East once again as volunteers.

We would normally meet every Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m. to 9:30p.m. at Earl Bales Community Centre, 4169 Bathurst St. (Bathurst and Sheppard) for fun, friendship and song! We look forward to the time when visitors can come and experience the joy of a cappella singing with the Toronto Accolades once again.
In the meantime, we are connectingevery Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. on ZOOM. We welcome anyone to join us on ZOOM, connect with our members and see what our chorus is all about.

OUR NEW DIRECTOR!

The Toronto Accolades have a new director! We are excited to welcome Alana Regular into our Accolades family, and can hardly wait to get back to live rehearsals for a fresh new start, working together with her. In the meantime, she has enthusiastically taken on the challenge of guiding us through our weekly ZOOM rehearsals. You can find out more about Alana on our 'Musical Director' page.

INTERNATIONAL CONTEST & CONVENTION

Nothing was going to stop Harmony, Inc. from holding its 2020 International Contest and Convention, and over half the membership tuned in to enjoy it virtually on November 6 and 7. The Opening Ceremonies were held on Friday evening, followed by an Afterglow Party of entertaining games, videos and a vote for People's Choice winners. Members were encouraged to wear their Derby hat, to pay tribute to Louisville, Kentucky, where this year's contest was supposed to take place. Saturday events ran all day, including education classes and an 'un-contest' to which each chorus contributed one of their performance videos. For fun, the Toronto Accolades chose to submit a video of the chorus singing 'O Canada' at an OHL hockey game back in February -- a lifetime ago! This year's Parade of Champions featured a host of championship quartets, as well as our 2019 chorus and quartet champions, A Cappella Showcase and Hot Pursuit. Then came the Closing Ceremonies, and a hope to see each other for real next November in Kentucky!
